Calcetto
Having opened its doors over 12 years ago, Calcetto was the first institution in Heraklion to offer a professional standard football pitch for use to local youth leagues and organization. The large Calcetto complex is home to 4 fields measuring over 20,000 m2, as well as proper change rooms, clubhouse, and a sports café (Frequented by sports bettors from all over Heraklion).
Over 120 local teams practice and train at Calcetto’s facilities on an ongoing basis, while a chlidren’s academy 5 to 15 years olds sees 100’s of junior players arrive each day. In addition to training use, Calcetto hosts 4 major local tournaments every season, seeing the best local teams competing for fun as well as for local fame.
